Vesperalba vs World Time Buddy
World Time Buddy is a well-known website and app for converting times and scheduling meetings across zones. Vesperalba is a Chrome extension that does a narrower job: your team’s clocks and work hours one click away. We make Vesperalba, so take this with that in mind; we tried to be fair.
Side by side
| Vesperalba | World Time Buddy | |
|---|---|---|

| Finding a meeting time | Type a time or step ±30 minutes; every city moves at once | Click or drag across hour tiles to select a time range |
| Calendar | No calendar integration | Send the selection to Google Calendar, Outlook/iCal, Gmail; overlay your Google Calendar |
| Sharing a time | Share link that opens in the reader’s zone, with “Add to calendar” | Public event pages; clipboard |
| Widgets for websites | No | World clock and event-time widgets |
| Privacy | No analytics, no network requests from the extension; works offline | A web service: needs a connection; signing in keeps your settings with them |
| Price | Free, no ads, no paid tier | Free to use; offers a paid upgrade |

Where World Time Buddy is better
- Calendar work. Selecting a slot and sending it straight to Google Calendar or Outlook, or overlaying your own calendar to find free time, is something Vesperalba doesn’t do.
- On your phone. It has iOS and Android apps; Vesperalba lives in desktop Chrome (its share links do open on any phone).
- For websites. Its embeddable clock and event widgets have no Vesperalba equivalent.
Where Vesperalba is better
- It’s already open. One click on the toolbar icon, no tab to find, no page to load, and it works offline.
- Work hours, not just hours. Each person’s workday is a ribbon on your own clock, so “are they at work right now?” is a glance.
- People, not just cities. Rename cards after colleagues; two people in one zone can each have a card.
- Privacy. No account, no analytics, the only permission is storage; the extension makes no network requests.
If you use both
A common setup: Vesperalba in the toolbar for the daily “what time is it for them?”, and a scheduling site when you need to send a formal invite to many people.
Questions
Is Vesperalba a World Time Buddy alternative?
For checking colleagues’ times and finding a meeting hour, yes, and it runs in the Chrome toolbar without an account. For calendar integration and phone apps, World Time Buddy does more.
Does Vesperalba have a mobile app?
No. It is a Chrome extension for desktop. Times you share from it open as a web page on any phone, in the reader’s own time zone.
Keep these clocks in your toolbar
Vesperalba is a free Chrome extension: everyone’s time and work hours on one screen, a converter that moves every city at once, and share links that open in the reader’s time zone. No account, no tracking, works offline.
